Silja is an Icelandic painter and photographer who spent 15 years in New York working as a fashion photographer for leading publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar.
With a lifelong passion for drawing and painting, Silja recently began exhibiting her artwork publicly, debuting at the 1300 Gallery in Iceland in 2023. Her visual art is often deeply connected to her photography, with many of her pieces drawing directly from the images she captures through the lens.
